JPMorgan Chase will report third-quarter results at about 7:00 a.m. Eastern on Tuesday 13 October, opening bank earnings season. Analysts expect revenue of about $51.2 billion and earnings of $5.93 a share, according to MarketBeat. The second quarter's $58.0 billion of revenue included a $4.6 billion Visa gain and $1.0 billion of other equity gains, and nothing has been reported yet.

Citi Expects the Treasury to Cut Its 20- and 30-Year Auctions by $3 Billion Each, and Perhaps Scrap the 20-Year Bond

Citigroup's head of US rates strategy told clients on Friday that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is likely to reduce long-dated auction sizes and replace the money with Treasury bills, a change that would be announced on 4 November. The bank says the 20-year bond could be cancelled outright.
