We correct errors promptly and visibly.

Material errors

When a published story contains a material factual error, we correct the text and append a correction note stating what was wrong and when it was fixed. The note remains on the story permanently.

Minor errors

Typographical and formatting fixes that do not change meaning are made without annotation.

Updates

When a story is substantively updated with new information, the update date appears alongside the original publication date.

Requesting a correction

Email corrections@cranberryjournal.com with the headline and the passage in question. Requests are reviewed by an editor who was not involved in the original story whenever practical.
