Florida Passed Its Property Tax Cut With 157,000 Votes to Spare. Wyoming and Oklahoma Said No, and Washington Kept Its Millionaires' Tax.
Florida voters approved Amendment 3, which raises the homestead exemption for local non-school taxes to $250,000 by 2028, with about 62 per cent of the vote against a 60 per cent threshold. Property tax cuts failed in Wyoming and Oklahoma, and a repeal of Washington's tax on income above $1 million was losing. Colorado's graduated income tax was still too close to call.
